On the Xbox Series X, S, and PS5, though, the cutscenes will be locked to 60, which is still good. The PC cutscenes will have the option to let players choose from 30, 60, 90, and 120 frames per second. Speaking of cutscenes, there are vast improvements for this portion coming soon. That shaking should be reduced due to the camera smoothing improvements implemented in this update for the cutscenes and dialogue sections. Furthermore, another glaring issue in the demo was the camera and its frustrating shaking. There will also be some performance improvements for various pacing and stuttering players were dealing with and annoyed about during the demo. We know that the patch will cover bugs mainly in the latter portions of the game. Many bug fixes and improvements are coming in this Outriders Day 1 patch for starters, too many to list on Reddit as it would take its entire thread to go over. For the most part, the severe issues that were focused on for the patch and players will see these changes when they download it at launch. This leads to the Outriders Day 1 patch, as some of the fixes that weren’t put into the main game are then released here. As such, developers aren’t able to get everything in for launch that they would like to. The certification and other procedures for getting a game sold take quite a while to do, so that will usually happen a good while beforehand. This is to ensure that fixes and other issues are addressed until launch. ![]() So, even when a game is in its “complete” form, the developer will continue working on getting it ready for launch. Video game development happens until the game launches and then even afterward, as the developer has to figure out ways to fix issues and add more content. While it is annoying, there are reasons why these patches happen. These patches can be annoying for players as it likely means that you will have to deal with not just one download but potentially two at the same time to enjoy the game in its fullest form. Day 1 patches are fairly common and expected these days, and Outriders won’t be any different in that regard. The Outriders Day 1 patch will likely come on the launch for the game and be the standard stuff you would expect from a massive online game like this one. What the Outriders Day 1 Patch Will Likely Include With the launch looming ever closer, let’s take a look at everything that you need to know about the Outriders Day 1 patch, how to pre-load, and much more. If you didn’t already know, Outriders would be coming out on Thursday, April 1, which is about a week away from now. There is a lot of info shared about the upcoming release. We also know some of the details about the launch of the upcoming game, including when it will be released, like the specific launch times and when you will download the game if you pre-ordered it. The details that were revealed include the Outriders Day 1 patch and more. There is an entire Reddit thread that is dedicated to doing this that you can find right here.īut it is pretty convoluted and divided up into different sections that you then have to search for in the comments for official details regarding various parts, so we have compiled it all into one nifty place here. People Can Fly revealed details about the upcoming third-person shooter game on Reddit, noting a breadth of details surrounding the title’s launch and what’s beyond that. ![]() Outriders Day 1 Patch and Launch Details Revealed

The specs say it also comes with 2 Thunderbolt USB-C ports with Power Delivery.īut as I understand it, even though Thunderbolt Power Delivery can be bi-directional, it has to be wired as such from the manufacturer. Looking into the specs further, your model came with a standard 150w AC charger with a "standard" HP power plug, correct? Since I don't own a Spectre CH series, I'm having to take a guess here. They probably don't have anymore access to info than we do. The fact that the Rep you talked to had to refer it to engineering doesnt surprise me. Given how spread out they are, you should have enough charges on your tool if you’re exploring thoroughly. You will only encounter a handful of these safes in the game, so make sure you crack them with this tool whenever you can. There’s a specific hacking tool you can find in the wild or build with spare parts, and it will auto-unlock anything, including level five safes. Why? Because those hacking puzzles are a nightmare even with your skills maxed, and the game gives you a reason not to do it anyway. I already talked about the virtues of hacking earlier, but I do not recommend wasting a point for level five clearance. There is one exception in the form of a quest that has you tracking down info about missing months of Jensen’s life with your old boss David Sarif, and that will stay on your list throughout the game as you progress through it, but all others? Get them done. This is not a game where you can beat the main storyline and return later to do all the side quests at your leisure, so if you have a list, clear it before moving on. These quests are enormous sources of XP and resources, in addition to what they add to the story. Do them first, in fact, as once you hit certain story milestones, many of the quests will be killed off based on the way Prague changes throughout the story. Throughout Deus Ex, you will constantly have a main quest running, but often you’ll be tasked with meandering side quests that flesh out different aspects of the story. Don't Skip Side Quests, Because There Aren’t Many And You Can’t Do Them Later ![]() I can’t guarantee this will always happen, but much of the time, you can have your cake and eat it too, which is sort of refreshing for a game like this.ħ. Later, I was told to choose between saving one group or another, presuming I wouldn’t be able to do both, but sure enough, I did in fact have time to save everyone, which is something I frankly was not expecting. I was threatened with retribution for failing to hold up my end of a deal I made, and I was surprised to find that it never actually came back to bite me. In most games, players are frustrated by these sort of “no-win” encounters, where all options lead to tragedy, but at least in my playthrough, that was not the case. Save this group of innocents, or some allies. Binary Story Choices Aren’t Always Actually Binaryĭeus Ex is a game that constantly makes you choose between two seemingly tough options. Plus, 1,000 XP for each “perfect” conversation you have is nothing to sneeze at either.Ħ. It’s not a useful skill in combat, obviously, but if you care at all about the story, you’ll want it. There aren’t a ton of these encounters throughout the game, so when you run into them, you might as well “win” them, right? By detecting what is the “right” approach to take to dealing with certain key people, you can talk yourself out of firefights, get equipment for free or alter the course of entire subplots, usually for the better. Speaking of dialogue, if you’re the type of player who wants things to work out relatively peacefully, or at least avoid a total mess, I highly advise sinking two points into the behavioral tracking dialogue skill early on. If You Like Happy Endings, Invest In The Dialogue Augmentation Quicksaving can also be helpful for hacking (since detection is luck-based) and for choosing “correct” dialogue options as well. It sort of slows the pace down, but it’s far better than everything going to hell and you losing a lot more progress. Yes, there are auto-save checkpoints, but given how elaborate some of these combat encounters are, it doesn’t hurt to save each time you kill or knock out a guard, unless you’re in the middle of open combat or a split-second from detection. This is a game where you can literally save at any point, which in the console space especially, is increasingly rare. Most Deus Ex players will probably understand this point by now, but many traditional shooter/sandbox players will come into this game not get how important quicksaving is to the experience. Quicksaving And Re-loading Are Your Friend You can use it to speed up all sorts of tasks that you do regularly on the Mac. The Alfred Mac app is all about productivity! Affinity Designer is by far the best Adobe Illustrator alternative I’ve ever found. The Creative Cloud costs $50+/month, and if I were to get Illustrator by itself, it would cost me $20+/month. The Mac App is beautiful, along with dark mode. I have used 1Password for years now and love it. And second, you should never use the same password twice, ever. Why is this important?
